About this Blog
This site offers honest reviews of restaurants that can be found in the region of Montréal (and other places in the province of Québec). We're looking out for the lovers of good food by not only offering our sincere opinions but also by sometimes comparing various restaurants from the same chain and offering other practical information.

The list of establishments we have visited grows regularly. You can see the entire list by using one of the search tools offered at the top of this column.

Reubens

We've visited Reubens a few times. It's a relaxed place and manages to establish a (usually complicated) balance between being a cool place to go to and also catering to families. The waiters are nice even though some of the employees look a bit too "cool".

The menu offers an interesting variety of meals: steak, chicken, ribs, Italian food, Greek and (if memory serves) traditional Jewish items.

So far, we've had some hamburgers and smoked meat sandwiches. Everything was always very good. Reubens has a good reputation as far as smoked meat goes, so you can't go wrong with that choice. The deserts are a bit on the expensive side of things, but should satisfy most of your cravings. We've tried the chocolate cake and the "turtles" cheese cake. Both were very much appreciated.

Finally, prices are OK and the servings are generous. If you feel like trying a nice, easy-going restaurant with some friends or family, you'll most probably like Reubens.

The Reubens on 1116 ste. Catherine rocked! I mean the food was fantastic, the atmoshere was jazzy and relaxed. Everytime I come to Montreal its the first place I go too and I always make sure to go before I leave. Highly recommended!

I'm glad you liked it. It's a very enjoyable place to have dinner.

Anything particular you liked on the menu?
